The honest bit.

We're a two-person studio (and a corgi). We're not interested in your data beyond replying to your enquiry. This page explains what little we collect, why, and what we do with it. Written like a person, not a lawyer.

Who we are

“dmlab” is the trading name for Devon Arganaraz and Marion Padua, operating from Pascoe Vale, Victoria, Australia. You can reach us at hello@dmlab.au.

What we collect

The only personal information we collect is what you give us:

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email, optional company / project name, the service tiers you ticked, and any message you write.
  • Direct emails to hello@dmlab.au: whatever you choose to send us.
  • Anonymous analytics: aggregated, de-identified page-view stats from Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no IP addresses retained, no personal identifiers). Used to understand which pages are useful.

We don't use third-party advertising or marketing trackers. There's no Facebook pixel, no Google Tag Manager, no ad networks.

Why we collect it

Strictly so we can reply to you, scope work, and send invoices if we end up doing a project together. Nothing else.

Where it goes

  • Contact form submissions are emailed to our personal Gmail addresses (Devon and Marion) and BCC'd to a mailbox at hello@dmlab.au hosted by VentraIP in Australia. The transport SMTP is operated by VentraIP.
  • The site is hosted on Vercel. Server logs (request paths, timestamps, anonymised) live there for a short window.
  • Anonymous analytics live in Vercel's analytics dashboard, retained per Vercel's policy.

We don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside the people and infrastructure listed above.

How long we keep it

As long as we're in active conversation with you, plus whatever Australian tax / business law requires for invoiced work (currently 5 years for tax records). If you've only enquired and we never ended up working together, we'll archive or delete the email at our discretion within 12 months.

Cookies

We don't set tracking cookies. Vercel may set a technical cookie for the platform itself, which is essential and not used for tracking. Vercel Analytics is cookie-less.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal info we hold about you;
  • Correct anything that's wrong;
  • Delete it (subject to any legal record-keeping obligations).

Email hello@dmlab.au and we'll handle it within 30 days, usually faster.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your information, contact us first. If we can't resolve it, you can raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top when anything meaningful changes. If we ever start doing more invasive things (we don't plan to), we'll tell you up front, not bury it here.
